Galați, located at the eastern border, hides what we can call the Danube’s misticism. Here are a few glimpses of the town seen through the eyes of our friend, Sorin. There will be a second round. Thank you!
The view you get when watching a place from somewhere high above is amazing. It’s a fact. This is what i felt today, when I realized the beauty and the tranquility of a town seen from the mountain’s perspective. Literally. Never more beautiful. Amazement. And gratitude that we can enjoy this spot recently recovered. So here it goes: Gura Humorului, improved. I wonder how it’s gonna be like in winter when the sky season will be open 🙂 guess we’ll find out together.

Every post on our blog, since it’s been created, was accompanied by our wish to revive in each one of you the memories of the sights you visited once, twice or a thousand times; of places that took our breath away for a few seconds with the simple action of keeping our eyes wide open. At the same time, we wanted to show you how much there is to be seen, here, in our place. And this is an invitation to beautiful. So join us, send us pictures, share with us. Be part of our project, consider yourself our honoured guest.
Today is special because we thought of making a little review of other on-line campaigns that have made an oath to show the beautiful. The beautiful of travelling in Romania, the burst of emotions that a particular place can emerge on your retina. So each day we will present you a different campaign, a different approach, but the same goal: to make you see that we really are a good bunch of people that see in Romania the beauty, the perfection, the land. Our land.
“Romania is beautiful” was launched today by Razvan Pascu. A natural born traveller, Razvan starts his campaign with a unique location: the muddy, alive volcanoes in Berca. So, be our guest to follow this campaign that promises to be grand 🙂
See you tomorrow !
🙂 Pieces of Bucharest. Enjoy!
It’s funny how every comeback to the place our minds own feels totally different. Maybe cause we find ourselves in peculiar states of the mind, that itch our brains and tickle our hearts. Or maybe cause our eyes are in continuous change of views and angles so that the perspective is always changing so that we would never ever get bored of what we see. Or, I might ad, it might be the colour of the sky and the shape of clouds that dominate us from above with a childish bossy kind of joy.
Welcome back it says…
We’re back to tell you some things about what happend at the end of 2009 in Sibiu. Starting November 28th and ending January 3rd the Big Square in Sibiu was full of kiosks with gifts and sweets. There were little wood houses where people from all of Romania sold their goodies like handcrafted decorations and jewelery and really colourful lollypops. There was also fun for the kids with some little trains and spinning wheels and hot traditional food for the grownups.
In case you missed it this year it’s already become a tradition so Sibiu awaits you next year!
Here are some photos for your eyes’ and souls’ delight!
And slowly, my eyes got used with that kind of light. This time was different. It was then when I realised the nearness of the sky, the golden ears and the fragility of the poppy. I felt that it represented me, the rest of us: the toughness of an ear and the delicacy of a red poppy… Here we are, standing in the field of wheat, our field of battle, our earth.
